Genesis

PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Sasaram embarked on its academic journey in 2014, commencing with Classes I to V in a temporary building. With a vision of providing quality education in a conducive and enriching environment, the Vidyalaya was subsequently shifted to its own newly constructed, spacious and impressive campus in 2018.

Over the years, the Vidyalaya has grown steadily in terms of its academic offerings and educational facilities. At present, it provides quality education from Balvatika-I to Class XII. At the Senior Secondary level, the Vidyalaya offers Science and Commerce streams, enabling students to pursue their academic interests and prepare for higher education and future career opportunities.

The Vidyalaya is situated in Rohtas district, Bihar, in the vicinity of the Bihar Special Armed Women Police Training Camp. Its strategic location and excellent connectivity make it easily accessible to students, parents, staff and visitors from different parts of the region.

By Road:
The Vidyalaya is conveniently accessible through the historic Grand Trunk Road (NH-2), providing good road connectivity with neighbouring towns and cities.

By Rail: Sasaram, the district headquarters of Rohtas, enjoys excellent railway connectivity. The city is situated on the important Delhi–Howrah railway route and is well connected with several major cities across the country.

By Air:
The nearest major airport is Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi, approximately 137 km from Sasaram. Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna, is approximately 147 km away, providing convenient air connectivity to the region.
